Dear Alumnus/a of the Department of Biostatistics at VCU,
We have redesigned the website for the Department. Part of the website will be reserved for news and views of the alumni/ae. We here at the Department would like to learn about what you are doing, and we suspect that other alumni/ae of the Department would also like to find out what you are up to, as well. We would certainly include news of your career, your publications, your family, and your travels. We would also include essays on your thoughts and feelings about your life in biostatistics, including frustrations as well as celebrations. We here at the Department and other alumni/ae would be interested in hearing about your encounters with challenging problems in the field of biostatistics and how you dealt with them. Anecdotes about other challenges that you have met during your life in academia, industry, government, or retirement would also make interesting reading. We hope that you will be contributing to our website from time to time and that the website will be a fun, interactive site that will tie us all a little closer together and that will serve as a resource to help other alums deal with problems and challenges that they encounter in their careers and their lives. In order to collect information on alumni/ae in a standardized format, we have provided an interactive form for you to fill out. We hope that you don’t find the number of boxes to be filled too onerous. The asterisked boxes are the only critical ones.
