The Biostatistical Consulting Laboratory (BCL), offered by the Department of Biostatistics, offers statistical service in areas that professional biostatisticians are often involved. These include, but are certainly not limited to, assistance with study design, data analysis, and education services and are available free-of-charge to members of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and VCU Health System. Collaborators requesting biostatistical support from the BCL should expect to work with at least one graduate student in Biostatistics. Along with providing a professional service, students receive formal training in collaborating with researchers and credit toward their graduate degrees. All work performed in the BCL will be supervised and approved by a faculty member of the Department of Biostatistics.
