First Year Sequence
M.S. and Ph.D. candidates will take the following sequence of courses in the first year. Students needing further work in mathematics, or Ph.D. candidates who hold M.S. degrees in biostatistics or a related discipline, would have a slightly different course schedule. The first year sequence relies heavily on background material from the MATH 307, 308, 310 and STAT 213 prerequisite mathematics and statistics courses.
